If you are like most PC users, you probably have several favorite music sites from which you can download your favorite sound and music files. The ability to get almost free music and play it on your PC is both economical and convenient. However, even though you can play these sounds, movie scores and CD tracks on your PC speakers, many people would like to play their music through their stereo system. This will allow you to share the music with others, with the best phonics in your home. In years past, the lack of universal plug and cabling required a custom music contractor connection to make this work. Now, with standard connections and cable plugs this is a simple matter of making the right connections. That is the purpose of this article. Be sure, whenever you change or alter connections to a PC, that you run your windows registry software. You can purchase and download a top registry software package that does this. They also perform the other registry fix functions that accomplish any needed corrections.
First, find the Stereo Audio In Cable Jack on your stereo system and the audio out jack on your PC. Then connect the two jacks with the standard stereo sound cable, connecting the male prong side of the stereo audio cable into the Audio Out Jack on your PC.
The following step completes the primary connection by taking the other end of the stereo audio cable, connecting the male prong side into the female y cable.
The next item is connecting the RCA Cable in the proper jack on your stereo. Plug one end of the RCA cable in the Y cable. Plug the white (male) RCA into the white (female) RCA. Then plug the Red/Male into the Red/Female.
Then connect the RCA cables into the auxiliary incoming stereo jack. First locate the red and white AUX IN ports on the stereo. RED=RIGHT; WHITE=LEFT. Complete this Auxiliary In connection by plugging the white male RCA into the White Female port and the red male RCA into the red female port. You now have a PC-to-Stereo hard connection.
You will be running the Play function on your Stereo from Auxiliary as the input source. Turn on your PC and select and play your CD as you normally would. Double-adjust the sound from PC to Stereo, adjusting the volume to low-max on the PC so that the lowest volume of sound is transferred to the stereo. Use the superior sound controls on your stereo to adjust sound quality and volume.
Finally, after the cabling is verified, run a system registry update using your Registry Repair software.
