Music at Stetson’s House

The Stetson Kennedy Foundation and the St. Johns County Parks Department present “Sundays at Stetson’s,” a much-loved concert series held at Kennedy’s former residence, Beluthahatchee Park. Each month, this folk music series will feature a different musician or group — one who carries on the tradition and values of Stetson Kennedy.

The concerts will take place inside one of the buildings on the property from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on one Sunday a month. The concerts are free, but donations are accepted. Admission is limited to 40, and reservations must be made in advance, via email. Tours of the Stetson Kennedy cottage (Beluthahatchee) may be available on select Sundays.

Designed by Florida Hall of Fame inductee, journalist, and author, Stetson Kennedy, Beluthahatchee Park is a haven of peace that connects man with nature. Gargantuan oak trees help to add to the natural habitat that protects heron, egrets, eagles, ducks, grackles, and other species. Guests are encouraged to learn more about the different types of vegetation such as southern magnolia, laurels, and pignut hickory and can also explore scenic trails, and the Stetson Kennedy residence.

Admission: Free. Donations accepted. To reserve a seat, send an email here, with your contact information and the number of seats you require.

When: The concerts will be held on one Sunday a month, most often on the second Sunday. Times may vary, but they are often at 2:00.

Where: Beluthahatchee Park is located at 1523 S.R. 13 in Fruit Cove, FL 32259.

The event is finished.
